Tarwin Blue is a blue cheese made by Berrys Creek Gourmet Cheese in Fish Creek, Victoria.

The story of Berrys Creek Gourmet Cheese begins in 2007 when Barry and Cheryl established the artisan cheese company.

Three decades of experience as a cheesemaker coupled with a strong connection to the land in Berrys Creek and the local South Gippsland community have inspired the team to push all boundaries in their search for perfection.

State-of-the-art facilities

Expanding on their initial cheese range made from cow’s milk, they now also make cheese from non-bovine milk like buffalo and sheep, with a focus on blue cheeses.

With the increase in demand and widespread acclaim that came with each new cheese launch, Berrys Creek Gourmet Cheese soon outgrew its original premises and moved into new state-of-the-art facilities in Fish Creek in 2015.

Made from pasteurised Jersey Cow milk, the Tarwin Blue draws its name from the nearby Tarwin River. This well-balanced blue has a soft and creamy straw-coloured pâte with striations of blue-green mould. It has a robust earthy aroma and flavour that lingers long on the palate.

The flagship blue won Champion Blue Cheese at the Australian Grand Dairy Awards in 2018
